Which mechanic to pick: discount, accumulation, points, or stamps

How to match the format to margin and visit rhythm: when a percent at the till, when a threshold, when cashback points, and when “6th coffee free.”

One “same as everyone” template eats margin. A salon needs a visit every three weeks, a boutique needs ticket size, a bakery needs frequency on a 1,500 ₸ check. Senbi covers four formats — separately or together. Below is how to choose, not “turn everything on.”

Where each mechanic is usually stronger
Discount nowretail, a clear benefit at the till
Accumulation / thresholdspend toward a gift or a level
Points from the checkmid and large tickets
Stamps per visitsmall ticket, you need rhythm

Formats in brief

  • Discount: a percent or amount now. The customer sees the benefit on this receipt — easier than “points later.” Levels 5% / 7% / 10%, VIP, birthday.
  • Accumulation: “every 10,000 ₸ — a gift” or a threshold for the next level. Senbi totals the spend; the cashier does not keep a notebook.
  • Points: cashback on the next purchase. Expiry, redeem cap, promo exclusions — so the program does not eat margin.
  • Stamps: a reward for frequency, not amount. On a 1,200 ₸ check, 3% cashback is 40 ₸ — nobody notices. “6th cappuccino free” is obvious.

How to choose in one pass

  1. Small ticket and you need frequency — stamps, a regulars’ discount, or both
  2. Mid ticket and they do not come every week — points or accumulation
  3. You need a clear “right now” benefit — a level discount, no haggling at the till
  4. Visit and spend are different jobs: a stamp for showing up, points or a threshold from the check

You do not have to turn on all four. A café often starts with a coffee stamp, a shop with points, a salon with a haircut stamp plus a birthday discount. Rules change without swapping the till.
